Rational Beauty, founded by Jeanette Abbink, has crafted award-winning editorial design for magazines such as Dwell, American Craft, and Pan & The Dream, and created books for such publishers as Aperture, Abrams, Monacelli, Rizzoli, and Clarkson Potter. Something to Food About (Penguin Random House, 2016), by Questlove, and As We Rise: Photography from the Black Atlantic (Aperture, 2021) were both honored with the annual AIGA 50 Books | 50 Covers award. Abbink is particularly thrilled that the oversized arts magazine Pan & The Dream has been collected by many esteemed institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York; the Courtauld Institute of Art, in London; and Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts—among many others.
