Frank Hollingworth, Chief Creative Officer at KING in Stockholm, Sweden, began his career in 1986 as an apprentice at Brindfors Agency, Stockholm, and quickly advanced to assistant to the executive creative director Hans Brindfors for two years. Then followed studies at Beckmans College of Design before returning to Brindfors Agency for five years.
Together with his co-pilot he founded the Hollingworth/Mehrotra Agency in 1994, which today is KING agency. The creative workroom met with success instantly and has been one of the leading agencies in Sweden since then. Interesting works during the years include H&M, Carlsberg, IKEA, Volkswagen and Sweden’s largest grocery store chain ICA. After more than ten years of collaboration and over 550 TV commercials, ICA and KING have created by far the country’s most rewarded TV ads in Swedish history.
Frank Hollingworth has won several awards for KING, the Golden Egg (Guldägget) numerous times, recently international awards include a Euro Best Gold 2010 and a Cannes Gold Lion 2011. In 2002 he was also a jury member of the Cannes Film Lions jury. KING was elected Agency of the Year in 2006, 2008, 2011, 2015 and 2016. In 2010 Frank Hollingworth was elected a lifetime member of the Platinum Academy (Sweden’s AD Hall of fame).
He is also a member of the board of directors at Beckmans College of Design. In a 2013 survey he was elected the fifth most important media personality in Sweden.
Frank Hollingworth lives in Stockholm with his wife and three teenage children.
