Esosa Osagiede has consistently charted her creative course zigging where everyone else zagged. Her unconventional journey began almost two decades ago when she chose to become a copywriter in Nigeria, a decision that set the stage for her distinctive trajectory.
In her first rodeo at Centerspread FCB, Esosa didn't just navigate briefs; she owned them. Her bold and audacious spirit challenged her to choose 141Worldwide (a member of the WPP group) from a pool of agency suitors.
Though a fierce loyalist, her thirst for more, made her bid bid farewell to the WPP family after eight years of stellar work, stepping into the vibrant world of Leo Burnett Lagos in 2016. Rising swiftly from Group Head to Creative Lead, she secured global accounts like Burger King and ALX Africa, solidifying her position as a creative force.
Esosa's storytelling prowess has garnered local and global accolades, including the "Outstanding Creative Director 2023" award at the Women in Marketing and Communications Conference and Awards, and the Creative Game Changer award at the “SHE WINS” conference organized by The Industry. Her portfolio boasts of renowned brands like Mondalez, YouTube, Chivita, British American Tobacco, Nestle, First Bank, World Bank and the groundbreaking TGI "Unwrap Joy, Unleash Taste" campaign, which earned Leo Burnett its first GRAND PRIX at the 2023 Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF).
Daring to stand out, Esosa applied for the Cannes Lions See It Be It program, emerging as the sole representative from West Africa among the top 16 selected globally from over 800 applications.
A copywriter by craft and a human behaviour analyst by training, Esosa places people at the heart of her creative solutions. As a sought-after creative, she has served as a juror on esteemed global and local creative awards platforms such as CLIO, D&AD, The One Show, Cannes Lions SIBI and LAIF.
Beyond her creative pursuits, Esosa's commitment extends to nurturing emerging talents in advertising schools in Nigeria and advocating for creative women in the industry. As the Creative Director at Insight Publicis, she leads a group of creatives with diverse skills to deliver stellar work for the global and local accounts in her portfolio not limited to SBC brands, CAF, Nigerian Breweries brands, FBN Quest.
