You can enter your work in the following subcategories.

  • 2001 - Children

    Design of entire books for children aged 0 - 12, including but not limited to picture books, pop up books, lift the flap books, activity books, journals, illustrated books, graphic novels, fiction and non-fiction.
  • 2002 - Young Adults

    Design of entire books for young adults aged 13 - 18, including but not limited to illustrated books, graphic novels, activity books, journals, fiction and non-fiction.
  • 2003 - Adults

    Design of entire books for adults aged 18+, including but not limited to illustrated books, graphic novels, activity books, journals, fiction and non-fiction.
  • 2004 - Lifestyle

    Design of entire books focusing on lifestyle. For example fashion, cooking, music, travel, gaming or poetry.
  • 2005 - Art & Design

    Design of entire books focusing on art and design. Books and catalogues that accompany an exhibiton should be entered into the Exhibition subcategory.
  • 2006 - Exhibition

    Design of entire books and catalogues that accompany an exhibition. May take the form of hardbacks, catalogues and coffee table books, for example.
  • 2007 - Photographic

    Design of entire books where photography is a significant part of the overall content.
  • 2008 - Promotional

    Design of entire books created to showcase a brand, a brand's history or a brand's relevance to the industry it serves.
  • 2009 - Anthology

    Design of entire books that contain a collection of literary work. For example essays, poems, scripts, short stories and interviews.
  • 2010 - Revised Edition

    Redesign of an existing book or series for a modern audience.
  • 2011 - Limited Edition & Fine Binding

    Design of entire books made with a high level of craftsmanship and/or high quality materials. Also limited edition books with a small print run, typically under 1,000 copies.
  • 2012 - Covers

    Design of book covers for all genres. Includes illustrated books, photographic books, graphic novels, exhibition catalogues, specialist books and fine binding.
  • 2013 - E-books

    Design of publications that have been created solely for digital platforms. Includes interactive and connected books. This subcategory is not for PDF copies of physical books.
