You can enter your work in the following subcategories.

  • 2301 - Digital Experiences

    Digital design for products and services, delivered across a variety of platforms. Includes the design of apps and games; digital elements of consumer products and electronics; as well the design of virtual spaces on the web and in the metaverse. Where there are physical elements of a digital product, these will not be judged here.
  • 2302 - Connected Experiences

    Design that bridges the divide between physical and digital products or services, beyond web and mobile. For example digital design for connected consumer products such as home devices, sensors and wearable tech. Includes the design of experiences that blend physical and digital worlds.
  • 2303 - Incremental

    Digital design across an existing product, platform or operating system that has undergone continual updates. Changes must have taken place between 1 January 2020 and 18 April 2023. Please include evidence of their effects over time and describe the value for end users.
  • 2304 - Inclusive

    Digital products, services and experiences that are designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of the user's age, ability and circumstance.
  • 2305 - New Services & Tools

    The design and launch of services and tools that meet a need for the user. For example, software that facilitates collaboration, management, reporting, production or e-commerce.
  • 2306 - Services & Tools Relaunch

    The redesign of digital services and tools that meet a need for the user. For example, software that facilitates collaboration, management, reporting, production or e-commerce.
  • 2307 - Data Visualisation

    The digital representation of data, where the design makes the data easier to understand.
  • 2308 - Use of Data

    The use of data in digital design to deliver a personalised experience for the user. Includes experiences powered by machine learning.
  • 2309 - Use of XR

    The use of immersive technologies to extend reality and change the way brands interact with consumers. For example the use of AR, VR or MR to create 360° video and multi-sensory experiences, and the use of emerging platforms to transport users to web 3.0 and the metaverse.
  • 2310 - Beta

    Digital design for products and platforms that are still in development and undergoing user testing. Medical devices without FDA approval are only eligible in this subcategory. Work entered here can only be awarded up to Wood Pencil level and won't be eligible for any other Awards categories except Creative Transformation and Future Impact (subject to meeting it's criteria).
  • 2311 - Health & Wellbeing

    Digital products, services and experiences designed to improve the health and wellbeing of the user. For example assisted living technology, applications that support a healthy lifestyle and digital platforms that boost mental health and resilience. Work that requires FDA approval to be commercially released must have this approval granted at the time of submission. Otherwise this work will be withdrawn and no refunds issued.
