New Blood Talk: Ask the industry anything
Our panel of industry experts answer the questions you asked
As part of D&AD’s New Blood Festival, we bought McCann Creative Sophie McGovern, Strategic and Creative Director Jack Renwick, Founder of Kin Kwame Taylor-Hayford, Executive Creative Director of big fish Chloe Templeman and D&AD Chairman Tim Lindsay together to answer all your burning questions. Amongst other things, they discussed the secret to confidence.
“In moments where I was not feeling confident and in moments where I was around a table where I felt like I couldn't speak up — listening really helped me, because now it feels like I've gained a bunch of experience from those experts that were around the table," said Sophie McGovern
Kwame Taylor-Hayford offered some advice: “No one knows everything and most people know very little, so if you’re able to show up and just be honest and transparent but have the humility and the curiosity to lean in and learn… we’ll all be in a much better place and hopefully that gives you confidence to know that it's ok to not know and feel nervous or insecure or unsure but be curious enough to do the work to improve every single day and through that you can build a huge sense of confidence.”
This talk was broadcast as part of our New Blood Festival series of expert discussions.
