D&AD Awards 2020 series with ‘Love This Podcast’
The 2020 D&AD Chairman and Jury Presidents join the ‘Love This’ podcast to discuss creativity and innovation in the face of the Covid-19 crisis
In 2020, for the first time in 58 years, the D&AD Awards were judged remotely. With entries submitted from every corner of the world, the judges set about the challenging yet exciting task of judging the work from home.
In a five part special series in collaboration with ‘Love This’ podcast powered by Colenso BBDO, hosts Beth O’Brien and Joe Carter interviewed D&AD Chairman Tim Lindsay and four Jury Presidents and discussed how D&AD and the creative industries at large were innovating in the face of a crisis.
Across the series, Tim Lindsay and Jury Presidents Joanna Monteiro, Debbi Vandeven, PJ Pereira, and Matthias Storath reflected on what they have been looking for in the work submitted for the 2020 awards, given the cultural context, how creatives are responded to COVID-19 and what the future holds for the creative industries. They also offer advice to emerging talent on what it takes to succeed in the creative and cultural sectors.
