COLLINS’ Head of Strategy on how she developed her career
Watch Taamrat Amaize in conversation with D&AD President Rebecca Wright as they discuss learning and demystify strategy
US Design Agency COLLINS won big at last year’s D&AD Awards, scooping a grand total of seven Pencils and landing themselves in the top spot for design agency of the year in our rankings. Behind the award-winning design and branding work for the likes of Robinhood, Crane, and the San Francisco Symphony, was solid strategy work, led by the agency’s Head of Strategy Taamrat Amaize.
Recently, Amaize sat down for a virtual chat with D&AD’s first President from the world of creative education for the Still Learning Live series, designed to explore the way learning shapes and continues to play a role in all of our lives. Rebecca Wright, who is Dean at Central Saint Martins, asks Amaize all about her journey into a career in strategy, through the moments of positive affirmation, to the daily teaching and learning required to build strategy with brands.
“I’m always transforming,” says Amaize, “The more I learn, the more I learn how much there is to learn!”
