Late
Shortlist / Health & Wellbeing / Film / 2024
Faced with the ugly truth that Hispanics are more likely to die of cancer since they’re more likely to have their cancer diagnosed at a late stage, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) set out to get Hispanics to get screened on time.
This came to life through a beautiful short film PSA following the life of a young woman who is always late— a characteristic Hispanics too often share. Although her tardiness is often funny, the story takes a turn when she is a little too late. All efforts pointed to getcheckedatiempo.com, a microsite with information on how to get screened.
