Jarrolds
Wood Pencil / Branding / SME / Logos / 2024
Independent department store, Jarrolds, was founded more than 250 years ago. For the past half a century, they have been using a lion as their brand logo.
We debated whether to retain their lion during our creative process, however, we quickly realised the huge amount of brand equity it contributed.
As such, we decided to search for a clever way to give it a new and more meaningful lease of life by integrating the ‘J’ for Jarrolds into the lion itself – see the before / after film.
We completely redrew the lion from scratch – crafting a new, more iconic and fit-for-purpose brand mark.
