ALS is an incurable disease in which motor neurons that move the body age, and the whole body gradually becomes immobile. However, consciousness, the five senses, and intelligence remain healthy.
We have developed a tool that detects minute changes in electromyography signals of limbs and converts them into the motion of a digital avatar. And this tool has enabled MASA, an EYE VDJ living with ALS, to use his entire body to create a DJ performance that gets the audience as excited as it once was.
We are trying to create a world where people with ALS do not have to give up physical expression.
