The starting point for the idea was a simple question: how would Van Gogh paint his wheat fields if extreme heat became the norm due to climate change?
Together with a team of AI experts and climate researchers, 8 images of famous landscape paintings were fed into specially developed AI pipelines - together with the regional data from the World Climate Report - which were trained with the specific painting style of each artists.
This turned the scenarios of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change into images that brought the devastating consequences of climate change to life.
