A celebration of the scale and breadth of the decorative arts and design collections held by Powerhouse Museum. Opening with 32 still life images by photographer Lauren Bamford and stylist Sarah Pritchard, the book includes images of 1001 remarkable objects punctuated by 15 narratives. Written by the four curators plus 11 Australian authors commissioned by Powerhouse, the texts respond to one or more objects and vary in form across HipHop, memoir, fiction, creative non-fiction, historiography and essay. The 620-page book is Swiss bound, linen-covered with semi-hardback cover and metallic foil.
