You Don’t Need Wings to Fly is a TV commercial for the Japanese soft drink Pocari Sweat. It depicts a young girl pursuing a dream of self-realisation in the fantasy world of her mind. The commercial opens with a shot of her walking to school in the rain. Suddenly, she sees a fluffy white cloud in the middle distance and is mysteriously drawn toward it. She climbs onto the roof of a car and leaps from car to car and up onto the cloud. The sky parts and we see her face in close-up as she stands on top of the cloud, bathed in sunlight and perspiration before the camera pulls back to reveal she is still standing on the street.
