Early childhood is the most formative yet misunderstood period in our lives. In five extraordinary years, our brains grow to 90% of their adult size, and our personalities, potential, and life prospects all moulded by what we encounter. But for something that so profoundly affects us all, few understand its impact. One in three adults know next to nothing about how children develop from 0-5 years old, with just 17% recognising the unique importance of this time. Shaping Us is a campaign seeking to raise awareness of the critical role of early childhood by showing a young girl’s life being shaped before our eyes.
