Hospitals in New York City were ignoring the Chrysalis Initiative's request to display its message about inequality when it comes to breast cancer care. So the organisation painted the message – a large unequal ≠ symbol – on the bare breasted bodies of breast cancer survivors. These images were placed in bus shelters along the commuter routes that hospital employees were likely to use across all boroughs of New York City, making the message unavoidable. An augmented reality experience shared shocking inequality statistics and invited healthcare professionals to sign up for bias training, find their blind spots, and help Erase The Line of inequality in breast cancer care.
