To encourage people to visit Australia after two years of lockdown, Tourism Australia needed a big idea with big star power to bring it to life. It resulted in a nine-minute film, G’day, which featured two of the biggest talents in the world: comedian Will Arnett and Australian actress Rose Byrne, a local with local knowledge. They voiced a charismatic toy unicorn with questionable magical abilities, who is accidentally delivered to the wrong gift shop in Australia, and a forgotten kangaroo souvenir, who seizes the opportunity to befriend him and escape her dusty shelf to see the sights she’s always dreamt of.
