Google Pixel was getting ready to launch its best and most ‘Google’ device yet: a phone designed to better help people. So instead of making another advert about another phone feature – in this case, Live Translate, which translates conversations in real-time – Wieden+Kennedy helped the brand to tell a story about love. The idea was to show how the Google Pixel’s unique capabilities could really enable connections between people, especially coming off the heels of a global pandemic that transformed human interaction.
