After Sébastien Haller, Borussia Dortmund’s new star player, was diagnosed with testicular cancer, the club wanted to raise awareness for check-ups among men. World Cancer Day coincided with Haller’s return to the club’s starting starting 11 against SC Freiburg. Accenture Song Brand Germany added a big bump on the pitch’s centre circle to symbolise a tumour. Fans shared photos and memes, and media around the world covered the bump. After the buzz reached its peak, everything was resolved at half-time, when men were called upon to screen themselves with the motto: ‘A hand ball that could save your life.’
