Letterpress printing is all too often the reserve of expensive fine books and limited edition posters, or simply reduced to a print process from digital artwork. Extra Condensed has been created to showcase and preserve the traditional craft of letterpress printing through a contemporary design paper, producing something that is modern, meticulously crafted and affordable. Designed and made by hand, it uses only wood and metal type, and analogue methods. It’s the only publication of its kind in the world. Issue 3 features exclusive articles from leading designers, including Erik Spiekermann and Astrid Stavro.
