Steel is all around us. It’s malleable, like clay, and can be formed into everything from wires to plates, cars to aeroplanes. Based on this concept, Studio Eeksaurus Productions created a sound design piece for JSW Steel, in which metal sounds were used instead of clay sound effects. Under the supervision of the studio’s sound designer, a team of foley artists synchronised the metal sounds with the actions in the film. It was a meticulous exercise of choosing each and every metal object that would match the scale and sound of the objects on screen.
