The Week is an iconic magazine covering weekly political commentary through a balanced point of view. Elmwood was challenged to create a visual identity system that reflected The Week’s unique editorial style and could flex with the brand to connect with new readers. The design consultancy identified the iconic red masthead as the shorthand destined to become the centrepoint for brand storytelling and a device to deliver its key narrative. Elmwood created guidelines and a suite of assets in line with the master brand, enabling The Week to connect with readers on a more meaningful level through the optimised brand shorthand.
