The fashion industry has been characterised by the exploitation of workers in the Global South. Designed in Bangladesh. Made in Europe involved creating a sneaker that disrupts the category and celebrates self-empowerment. Accenture Song Brand Germany worked with ekn, a German sustainable shoe brand, and Rokaiya Ahmed Purna, a female designer from Bangladesh. She created the first sneaker designed in Bangladesh and produced in Europe: the ekn Kamthala, demonstrating that powerful ideas come from all over the world.
