When Fedcom acquired the rights to Euroleague Basketball, it needed a new broadcast and streaming brand in just eight weeks in time for the new season. In terms of playing standards, European basketball is close to the NBA, but it’s light years behind in terms of how it’s packaged and presented. The objective was to radically change that and capture the unique in-your-face energy of the European game. The brand was intentionally created to contrast with the sanitised ‘official’ way it’s been shown historically, with a new name, logo, and brand aimed at 16-25 year old fans. It initially launched in France then across Europe.
