Ahead of launching in the US market, Canadian cannabis brand Houseplant – founded by actor and cannabis advocate Seth Rogen – needed a redesign. The aim was to revamp the existing brand while maintaining its essence, and ensure that it stood out in an already saturated market. Taking Houseplant’s existing logotype and symbol as the starting points, a typographic and illustration system was developed to unify the brand’s wide range of products and overall communications. A structural packaging system was also designed for all products as well as Houseplant’s cannabis tin jars.
