Lightmatter is a pioneer in the design and development of photonic computing, which uses light instead of electrons to calculate and transfer data, leading to a reduction in energy consumption and dramatic improvements in speed. Transcending the limitations of traditional transistors, Lightmatter’s processors use optical technology while the hardware connects to conventional computer systems for the processing. The units are housed in rack-mounted servers, which have been designed to reflect Lightmatter’s brand positioning and its unique technology.
