In 2020, Google and U.S. Black Chambers Inc. ran Black-owned Friday, which reframed the busiest shopping day of the year as a day to support Black-owned businesses. To cement the movement in culture and directly impact more businesses, in 2021, the Grammy Award winner and small business owner T-Pain created a song to encourage people to buy Black-owned. The song became the soundtrack for an interactive film that let people shop over 100 products from 55 Black-owned businesses. Starring real business owners alongside icons like Normani, it showed how Google tools help you find Black-owned shops to support.
