Fascism is on the rise again, and music platforms have a small part to play thanks to their use of algorithms, which help fascist songs reach more ears. To remind these music platforms of their duty of care, a Trojan Nazi band – Hetzjaeger – was created to trick the algorithms. A teaser song was crafted to meet the parameters of the algorithms, which automatically pushed it to fascist music fans. Only with the release of the entire song did the antifascist message become clear, showing just how little control these platforms exercise. The outrage was huge and the songs were eventually removed.
