When IKEA discontinued its iconic catalogue, people weren’t happy. With global uproar on the news and social media, Rethink Canada had to change the conversation. The agency decided to make the last catalogue last forever, by turning it into a coffee table book. From a durable hardcover to premium inks and paper stock, multiple ribbon markers to avoid dog-earing, to its iconic IKEA packaging, every element was redesigned to make the 2021 catalogue last a lifetime. The Last Catalogue flipped the conversation, resulting in 53% lift in loyalty sign ups, 200% lift in site visitation, and every copy sold.
