The first computer coder? The first film director? The first GPS developer? All women. History has often overlooked the achievements of women in tech and entertainment. Today, women hold just 24% of these jobs, so in a LinkedIn hack Verizon put some of history’s most undervalued women in tech back on the job market to spotlight continued gender bias in the workforce. With zero paid media, these women ‘networked’ with an audience of over seven million LinkedIn users, spreading the very culturally relevant message that until we have more women in tech and entertainment, history tells us we’re #NotDone.
