Manchester Utd, and ex-player Gary Neville in particular, have a long history of rivalry with Liverpool, both seeming to enjoy hating each other. Neville once said tongue in cheek ‘on air’ that should Liverpool ever win the Premier League then he would move to Papua New Guinea. This provided the base to create a fun social-based idea, Gary agreed to make the move, ex-Liverpool players agreed to lead the manhunt and Sky Creative created a fun hashtag #wheresgary. It was football rivalry at its best as fans embraced the funny take on Liverpool’s title win.
