In a groundbreaking collaboration between the videogame and music industries, Ubisoft partnered with UK music artist Stormzy, synchronising the release of the anticipated Watchdogs Legion videogame with the promotion of Stormzy’s track Rainfall. In the launch period more than 140 videos were created, with over 9m organic views across social channels and over 400k engagements delivering a CPV of £0.03p for the activity. In terms of sales results of the game, the UK saw over double the sales of other comparative markets.
