The Boy Who Couldn’t See the Stars is an animated film targeting young audiences who could be at risk of IRD, a rare disease that affects 30,000 people in France. It tells the story of a young boy’s life and the symptoms he faces (including difficulty seeing in the dark, and blurred or tunnel vision), which are expressed by drawings that evolve during the film. This disease starts early in a patient’s life, and to talk to teens, Edelman designed a strong visual universe that can speak to this target and catch their attention, supported by a dynamic voiceover and music.
