The social housing management system in the UK is dysfunctional. With no effective system to keep local authorities accountable for their housing management, millions of social renters live in unsafe conditions. The consequences of this systemic neglect are disastrous. Oikos reveals the lost data of the concerns raised by residents to the authorities responsible for them and repackages it to create a third-party database exposing how each administration governs, pressuring them into taking the necessary actions for the wellbeing and safety of the communities relying on them.
