Hellvetica

As an agency with a long history in design, R/GA sent one of the world’s most-loved fonts to hell for Halloween. Hellvetica: Helvetica, but with hellish kerning. The typeface was designed by analysing the most commonly used letter pairings and kerning them to be as visually traumatic as possible. It spread like wildfire across the internet. In just one week Hellvetica had over seven thousand downloads, 540,000+ unique visitors and over 21,500,000 impressions. But most importantly, Monotype, the very type foundry that designed Helvetica, declared its love for it.
