After the Flemish government's decision to cut art and culture funding by 60%, open artist platform State of the Arts convinced the 500 most renowned Flemish artists to post a picture of their work, but with 60% covered in yellow – the official Flemish color – to show that 60% less funding means 60% less culture. After this collective protest, the Flemish people stood by its artists in protests and petitions and made a statement to their politicians.
