For years, Syria has faced chemical weapons, state-sponsored terrorism, bombings and air strikes. Millions have supported Syria through hashtags and posts on social media. But sadly, the reality hasn’t changed. Over 13.1 million still need urgent humanitarian aid. So, with the help of photographers at ground zero, DDB Mudra Group created a series of ads showing injured Syrians with hashtag-shaped band-aids that barely cover their wounds. They scouted social media for hashtags used to support Syria and created a narrative to make people realise that hashtags don't heal. Only donations can make a real difference.
