Raheem Sterling: Do It For the Next You
Shortlist / Film Advertising / Social Commercials over 30 seconds / 2020
Every dream starts somewhere. Raheem Sterling’s began in the shadow of Wembley Stadium, in his home-town of Brent. Since then he has grown up to become a world-class footballer and a cultural icon. At 24, he’s already captained his country, and his voice is one of the loudest in speaking out against racism in football. To tell his story, celebrate what Raheem means to Brent, and what Brent means to him, Nike and Wieden + Kennedy went back to where this dream began; shooting on location in the streets of Brent, at his old school and featuring a cast made up exclusively of local kids, growing up just like he did.
