25 million plastic straws end up in our oceans each year, endangering and killing marine life. It’s an undeniable problem across the globe and restaurants are major perpetrators. Greenpeace set out to rally the world in a global protest to shame businesses for their continued use of single-use plastics. But, traditional protests and marches were becoming noise. They needed to engage people in a new way. So, Greenpeace created the first global protest using Instagram Stories to ultimately shame businesses into action.
