Domestic violence affects one in every four women. And the number one reason they can’t escape? Finances. Santander believed it should help. So, it created In Someone Else’s Shoes, a micro-lending program designed to help women reclaim their financial freedom and lives. To raise awareness about the programme, Arnold Worldwide built The Home, an immersive experience in the heart of NYC’s financial district. Influenced by real survivor stories, the house and the audio journey through it were designed to provide a new perspective on what living in an abusive home is like, and why it’s so hard to leave.
