Turn is developing a service to recycle organic pads and tampons, turning them into renewable energy and fertiliser. It noticed that most people want to be sustainable throughout their period, but find reusable menstrual care products (which are zero waste) intimidating and difficult to fit into modern life. Organic pads and tampons are biodegradable and conversion only affects the users’ purchasing habits, not their routines. Turn will utilise the potential of these products, educate users about the personal benefit to their body and stop them from entering landfill sites.
