Storytelling Serifs

To announce the combined launch of their three new serif typefaces, Fontsmith asked us to create a cost-effective yet striking printed specimen. Although distinctly different from each other, the trio all have roots in publishing and storytelling. Inspired by this, the design draws influence from storytellers: everything from books, newspapers and magazines, to online editorial and news feeds. Using poetry, prose, headlines and snippets of articles, the specimen carefully allows the three typefaces to feel unified, while also enabling each to shine in their own individual chapter.
