Blackened is a collaboration between Metallica and Master Distiller Dave Pickerell; colliding the crafts of music and whiskey. Our task was to create a narrative that weaves these two masters together; Blackened is a testament to the creative process, to the passion, hard work and determination required to make something from nothing. By sonically enhancing the whiskey with Metallica’s bold sound, we were able to bring them together in spirit also.
