Music Lessons Using Soundless Beats
Shortlist / Future / Product / Equality and Diversity / 2019
We developed PalmBeat, a device for a teacher and students in music lessons. Using this device, rhythm is sent not through hearing but through sight and touch.
The device consist of a set of two different type of products, a digital conductor's baton for a teacher and egg-shaped devices for every student. Following the rhythm generated as the conductor waves the baton, eggs vibrates to provide direct feedback to the students in their hands.
By transmitting rhythm via sense of sight and touch, PalmBeat creates an entirely new way to share rhythm much more precisely than via hearing aids.
