Padpaper
Shortlist / Future / Product / Equality and Diversity / 2019
While toilet paper is considered a basic necessity, pads are often added a so-called “luxury tax” in countries all over the world, placing them in the category of jewellery and wine.
It’s not a luxury to bleed. It's as natural as any other visit to the toilet. So to fight stigmatisation and laws from the past, we wrap sanitary pads on a roll – and sell them in the same category as toilet paper. We call this product Pad Paper.
We invite all pad brands to roll their pads on cardboard tubes to fight the menstrual stigmatisation and initially make it obvious to everyone that both products serve basic biological needs.
