Stradivarius: Timeless Journey

Our brief was to put on an exhibition of Stradivarius instruments to counteract negative internet press arising from news reports that modern violins had been rated superior to Stradivarius violins in a blind test. Our solution was to create a "time travel" installation at a gallery in central Tokyo where the public could directly experience the true value of these "living instruments," and hear how their sound has evolved over 300 years. The event generated a wave of positive comments that filled SNS timelines, displacing negative news items from the top of search engine results.
