A Thread of Hope
Wood Pencil / Spatial Design / Installation Design / 2018
In 2015 alone, 59,007 children in China were abducted. Very few of them have been reunited with their families. Many parents leave their jobs to find their children. This installation uses traditional, handcrafted cross-stitch to visualise the tugged heartstrings of parents who have lost children. Every thread stitches two images together representing the parent and child.
