Autobiography
Yellow Pencil / Spatial Design / Set & Stage Design / 2018
The challenge was to design an internationally touring stage design that would be lightweight and easily transported by air. It also had to to correlate with Wayne McGregor's core concept: the body as archive, a choreographic portrait illuminated by the sequencing of his own genome. Using genetics and genetic coding as a point of departure, a moving aluminium lattice ceiling was suspended above the stage, interlocking with the lights, referencing cells and scientific models.
