To combat donor apathy towards the refugee crisis, UNHCR's Winter Assistance Campaign asked the eight-million-strong Reddit community to start a photoshop Battle for Good. An original image of Zahra, a six-year-old refugee, was shared and Reddit users were asked to re-imagine what her life would be like if she wasn't a refugee. The campaign gave more than 160 families vital winter assistance and raised enough money to buy Zahra and her family a new home.
