Pitching French Film To Hollywood
Graphite Pencil / Film Advertising / Cinema Commercial Campaigns / 2018
To promote French cinema to a non-French audience, Alliance Française needed to show that great films can be made without following Hollywood formulas. So, it pitched three films to Hollywood heavyweights who didn’t know that they were existing French cinema masterpieces. After rejecting these pitches, the sessions were turned into humorous videos showing there are great films Hollywood would never make. The campaign attracted 43% more people to book tickets for French films.
